Any situation involving severe pain, swelling, bleeding that won't stop, a knocked-out tooth, a broken tooth, or signs of infection is a dental emergency. If you're unsure, call us. We'd rather you call and find out it can wait than not call and have something get worse.
Yes, in most cases. When you call with an emergency, we triage the situation and do our best to get you in the same day. We keep capacity in our schedule specifically for urgent cases. Call as early as possible for the best chance of a same-day appointment.
Pick it up by the crown (not the root), rinse it gently without scrubbing, and keep it moist — either by placing it back in the socket, holding it between your cheek and gum, or placing it in a glass of milk. Then call us immediately. Time is critical: the sooner you arrive, the better the chance of saving the tooth.
Yes. IV sedation is available for emergency cases when needed. If you're in severe pain, anxious, or the procedure requires it, Dr. Elmohd can administer IV sedation so you're comfortable throughout. This is something most emergency dental offices cannot offer.
We welcome new patients in emergencies. You don't need to have seen us before. Call us, describe what's happening, and we'll get you in as quickly as we can. We'll take your information when you arrive.
Cost depends on what treatment is needed. We always explain pricing before beginning any work so there are no surprises. We accept most dental insurance plans and offer financing options for cases that require more extensive treatment.
